Friday, February 24, 2006, my students and I traveled to Bayside where we enjoyed beautiful weather, friendly staff, and a well guided tour of the Miami Coast. As a group, our favorite part of the tour was Star Island! The students were amazed by the enormity of the homes on Star Island and the celebrities that owned them. The students also enjoyed waving to other passengers on passing boats. For most of my students, this was their first time on a boat and certainly not their last!
